Feb 7, 2005 Interview: Sant Thakar Singh explains the critical importance of accepting his successor, Sant Baljit Singh. Without a connection to the current living Master, the progress of the devotee stops. All of God’s blessings are available from the living Master; Sant Thakar Singh specifically named his successor so that his devotees would not be mislead or lost and would continue to receive maximum help along the spiritual path.

February 6, 2005 Bhandara, part 1: On the morning of February 6, 2005, Sant Baljit Singh and Sant Thakar Singh arrived at the satsang bhandara tent at the Manav Kendra of Pimpalner, India. A crowd of 1.5 million people had gathered to celebrate the birthday of Sant Kirpal Singh with Sant Thakar Singh and to meet Sant Baljit Singh. In the early morning sun, Sant Thakar Singh and Sant Baljit Singh gave their blessings to the crowd. Sant Thakar Singh then gave this short talk, introducing Sant Baljit Singh as his successor. He describes the true love that the Master has for his disciples. From this great love, the Master’s successor was being made known so that there would be no deception or confusion. As the Masters have always explained, the Master is eternal, and only the body changes. At the end of this satsang, Sant Baljit Singh knelt before Sant Thakar Sing and touched his feet in the traditional and respectful Indian manner. Sant Thakar Singh then ceremoniously placed a scarf around Sant Baljit Singh’s neck, patted his head, and hugged him. In this emotionally charged moment, the crowd cheered and wept, feeling the hand of God at work.
